A New Treatment for Cystic Fibrosis

About 10,500 people in the UK have Cystic Fibrosis. It is a genetic lung condition that affects roughly 1 in every 2,500 babies. For those affected, average life expectancy is a very low 37 years, although this is much greater than what it used to be. I have always been aware of it because tragically, my cousin was born with cystic fibrosis and died aged just 18. This was thirty years ago when treatments were not as good as today.

Improving Our Transport Infrastructure

Crawley’s location and our transport links, both within our town and to travel outwards, are one of the many good things about living here. We also have the nation’s second largest airport within our Borough while not being too far from the first. Our location and transport links are a key factor in our local economic success. Conversely, congestion hampers our local economy as well taking up our time and being bad for the environment.

Investing In Our NHS

At some poi nt in our lives, all of us will need to use our National Health Service. Even if we fortunate to have good health, it is reassuring to know that the NHS is there for us should we unexpectedly need it. The NHS is always there for us, is always free at the point of use, and will always continue to be so.
