CRAWLEY BOROUGH COUNCIL ELECTIONS 2008 |

To encourage the use of local produce, we have made arrangements to hold a ‘Farmers Market’ in Queens Square once a month. We are also introducing a star scoring system for food businesses in Crawley with the information available to all.
Three extra community wardens started in June 2007. This means that there are now three teams of four wardens allowing more flexibility in dealing with anti-social behaviour. Operating hours have been extended to 10:00 pm. |

From spring 2008, the Council is introducing a green waste collection service. With this service we should see a reduction in journeys to the waste disposal site. |

A Cleaner, Greener and Safer Crawley
During 2007/08, we have seen the effect of doubling the frequency of neighbourhood street cleansing to 12 times a year and having more litter pickers. We have also had a jet washing programme for Council neighbourhood parades and the town centre.
Since 2005, there has been a 50% increase in customer satisfaction with cleanliness. |
