West Sussex County Council

West Sussex County Council provides some 80% of local government services to Crawley and the other six county boroughs and districts of Adur, Arun, Chichester, Horsham, Mid Sussex and Worthing.  These services include education, schools, strategic planning, highways, transport, social services, libraries, trading standards, coast and countryside management, rights of way and the fire and rescue service. (Law and order is the responsibility of the Sussex Police Authority and health matters are determined by the NHS South East Coast Strategic Health Authority and West Sussex Primary Care Trust.)

Conservative-controlled West Sussex County Council is proud of the significant investment it is making in Crawley. For example, it is currently investing around £90 million on three new secondary schools, including Maidenbower's brand new Oriel High School, two new special schools and 21 new primary schools for the town. The   County Council is also about to build a state-of-art library for Crawley.

When Conservatives are in administration we have a proven track record of delivery regarding the important public services. Think how much more could be achieved with a Conservative Government.
